Please be advised that as of the Summer 2013 semester, all Canadian students studying at Lawrence Tech in F-1 status will be in one of the following classifications: regular F-1 student, full-time Canadian commuter student, part-time Canadian commuter student. For each classification, there are specific regulations regarding your address, how your I-20 is issued, and part-time or full-time enrollment. Details regarding each classification are provided on the following tabs.

The International Programs Office will manage your SEVIS record based on your most recent enrollment status. You may be contacted by an International Student Advisor if there are any questions regarding your status. Students classified as regular F-1 students or as full-time Canadian commuter students will not receive new documents or any additional communication. Students classified as part-time Canadian commuter students will receive a new I-20 and additional information, as their records are most affected by these changes.

You may change your classification at any time during your degree program. Please contact the International Programs Office prior to making any changes to your enrollment status or residential address so that we can review your record and advise you of how the changes will affect your classification.
